This study explores lexical innovation in digital discourse through a corpus-driven comparative analysis of Uzbek and English social media communication. The rapid expansion of digital platforms has significantly influenced language use, leading to the emergence of new lexical units, abbreviations, borrowings, and hybrid forms. By employing corpus linguistics methods, the research identifies and categorizes innovative lexical items in both languages, focusing on their structural, semantic, and pragmatic features. The findings reveal that while English demonstrates a high degree of lexical creativity through globalized digital trends, Uzbek exhibits a dynamic adaptation process by integrating both native and borrowed elements. The study also highlights the role of sociocultural factors and technological environments in shaping lexical innovation. The results contribute to a deeper understanding of contemporary language change and offer insights into the development of digital communication practices in multilingual contexts.
