Annotatsiya

This article examines contemporary trends in copyright dispute, resolution drawing on the legal practice of the United States and European Union countries. The analysis focuses on a comparative study of traditional judicial mechanisms, arbitration, and mediation. Based on statistical data, the author seeks to demonstrate that, given the high cost and complexity of litigation in the digital economy, demand for alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods — particularly mediation in particular — is steadily growing. With reference to the views of prominent scholars such as Paul Goldstein, Lawrence Lessig, and Peter Yu, specific recommendations have been developed for further improving the legal system of Uzbekistan.
