This article analyzes the functions and types of lexical synonymy in the prose of V. Rasputin and V. Astafyev. It examines the semantic, stylistic, and pragmatic features of synonymic sets and identifies the authors' individual strategies. The study demonstrates that synonymy serves as a tool for semantic specification and the formation of an individual authorial style.
