The article investigates the impact of integrating language education andreading literacy on the quality of student training in higher education. The theoretical foundationsof the relationship between language preparation and the development of meaningful readingskills are examined. Based on a pedagogical experiment conducted among philology students, theeffectiveness of text-centered, communicative, and practice-oriented teaching methods wasidentified.
