This article analyzes the role of creativity in a history teacher's professional activity and its pedagogical necessity from scientific-theoretical and practical perspectives. The study substantiates the impact of a creative approach in history teaching on educational effectiveness, the development of students' historical thinking, independent and critical thinking skills, and civic consciousness. Additionally, it highlights the components of a history teacher's creative competence, the advantages of employing creative methods, and their alignment with modern educational requirements. The research findings indicate the need to enhance the quality of history education and systematically develop a creative approach in teachers' professional growth.
