The article presents the results of a study involving 114 patients with Mallory-Weiss syndrome treated at the Tashkent Medical Academy between 2014 and 2025. The authors propose a modern classification of the syndrome based on the localization, depth, and length of mucosal tears, as well as the intensity of bleeding. An improved version of the Blackmore tube was developed to reduce patient discomfort. The use of a differential approach in selecting hemostasis methods increased the effectiveness of primary hemostasis, reduced the frequency of repeated endoscopic interventions, and significantly lowered the need for open surgical procedures.
