This article examines the legal and institutional mechanisms for ensuring the digital social safety of minors, using the Republic of Uzbekistan as a case study. While the widespread adoption of digital technologies, social networks, online games, and artificial intelligence tools has expanded opportunities for children, including access to education, information, and social interaction, it has also increased risks such as cyberbullying, the unlawful dissemination of personal data, online deception, and exposure to harmful content. Employing normative-legal analysis, a systemic approach, comparative legal analysis, and institutional analysis, the article examines the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan concerning children’s rights, information security, and personal data protection. Effective protection must integrate the development of children’s digital literacy, early risk identification, interagency cooperation, platform accountability, personal data protection, and comprehensive support for affected children. The article proposes establishing a unified coordination mechanism for digital child safety, introducing accessible complaint channels for children, and defining indicators to assess the effectiveness of law enforcement and regulatory implementation.
