The article provides a comprehensive analysis of international legal norms, principles, and mechanisms for protecting minors from involvement in unlawful activities. A distinction is drawn between involving a child in an offence and a child independently committing an offence. Universal international treaties and non-binding instruments are analyzed. A comparative legal analysis of the experiences of the United Kingdom and Kazakhstan is conducted, and the compliance of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan with international standards is assessed.
