This article analyzes the methodology for developing students' mathematical skills in educational settings based on artificial intelligence technologies from a scientific-pedagogical and technological perspective. The study highlights the methodological foundations of developing mathematical skills based on the principles of competency-based education, cognitive load theory, metacognitive reflection, learning analytics, and the teacher-in-the-loop principle. Furthermore, it reveals the pedagogical potential of adaptive tutoring systems, generative chat assistants, dynamic visualization tools, and AI-based diagnostic analysis mechanisms in educational settings. The article describes the methodological stages of organizing activities related to mathematical modeling, proving, strategic competence, and problem-solving with the help of AI. In addition, the role of academic integrity, data-driven assessment, reflective feedback, inclusivity, and ethical governance in AI integration is scientifically justified. The research results demonstrate that artificial intelligence technologies enhance the individual approach to developing mathematical abilities, facilitate the adaptation of the educational process, and contribute to the formation of high-level cognitive competencies among students.
