The evolving landscape of higher education demands innovative approaches to teaching Academic English,especially for engineering students who often struggle with linguistic barriers. This study explores an enhanced methodologyfor developing students’ project competencies through co-teaching, integrating music and drama-based learning,and leveraging modern educational technologies.Drawing on the experience at Samarkand International University of Technology (SIUT), the research highlights howcollaborative teaching with native speakers and the use of interactive tools such as Baamboozle, Quizizz, and Kahootimprove student engagement and comprehension.The co-teaching model, implemented with Prof. Annemarie Basson from South Africa, demonstrates the effectiveness ofintegrating interdisciplinary techniques to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. This paper underscoresthe significance of using both syllabus materials and general knowledge-based discussions to foster interactive learning,thereby equipping students with the necessary linguistic and project-based competencies required for professional successin the engineering domain.
