Изучена анизотропия упругих и фотоупругих свойств кристаллов молибдата кальцияпри брэгговской дифракции света на продольных акустических волнах, распространяющихся в плоскости (001). Показано, что эффективность акустооптического взаимодействия можно характеризовать введенным коэффициентом акустооптической эффективности, определяемым из упругих и фотоупругих постоянных кристалла. Выявленасильная зависимость коэффициентов акустооптического качества и акустооптическойэффективности от направления распространения акустических волн в исследованнойплоскости.
