The anisotropy of the acoustical-optical properties of lead molybdate crystals is determined by the Dixon method in the mode of Bragg diffraction of light by sound with a change in the direction of the wave vector of longitudinal acoustic waves. Light diffraction geometries reveal to obtain the maximum value of the acoustical-optical quality factor. The possibility of controlling the efficiency of Bragg light diffraction by changing the direction of the wave vector of an acoustic wave is shown for the first time.
