This article analyzes the economic, institutional, and innovation-related foundations for the development of technology hubs in Uzbekistan and Central Asia. The study examines technology hubs as key drivers of economic diversification, digital services exports, startup ecosystem development, and the training of highly skilled personnel. The article highlights Uzbekistan’s goal of becoming an “IT hub,” the priorities set out in the “Uzbekistan–2030” and “Digital Uzbekistan–2030” strategies, the activities of IT Park, and issues related to digital infrastructure, venture financing, human capital, and international cooperation. Furthermore, it provides a comparative analysis of IT Park Tashkent, Astana Hub, the High-Tech Park in Bishkek, and IT Park Dushanbe, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of regional technology hub development. The findings indicate that Uzbekistan has significant potential to become a regional technology hub; however, realizing this potential is closely linked to the expansion of digital infrastructure, the development of human capital, increased financing for innovation, and further improvement of the legal and regulatory framework.
