This article analyzes scholarly and theoretical approaches to the study of offender and extremist personalities, the importance of examining the personality of an extremist in combating extremism, and the characteristics commonly observed among contemporary extremist offenders. It also reviews the experience of foreign countries in identifying individuals who may be susceptible to extremist ideas. In addition, the study examines recent court judgments in criminal cases related to extremist activity and identifies such characteristics of extremist offenders as age, occupation, education, gender, and prior convictions.
