This article analyzes changes in the content of legal education and the system of professional competencies in the context of digital transformation. The author conceptualizes digital law as an interdisciplinary legal phenomenon and demonstrates that equating it solely with legislation governing information technology is methodologically incorrect. Using the international “Digital Law” educational program being introduced at Tashkent State University of Law as an example, the article provides a scholarly rationale for an institutional model of adapting legal education to the requirements of the digital age, the principles of drawing on international experience, and the changing role of lawyers in the era of artificial intelligence.
