Annotatsiya

Treatment of benign tumors in the head and neck area often requires partial (segmental) or half resection of the lower jaw. Defects of the lower jaw, even of small extent, lead to pronounced cosmetic deformation of the lower area of the face, accompanied by a violation of such important functions as chewing, swallowing, and proper speech formation. Plastic surgery of the mandibular defect with custom-made titanium implants is the method of choice after extensive resections for common benign tumors.
