Objective: to improve the methods of treatment and prevention of hypertrophic gingivitis in people with epilepsy and optimize oral hygiene using a Vector device. Methods: general clinical, laboratory, biochemical, functional, instrumental and statistical methods were used in the course of the study. The results obtained: The study revealed a clear correlation between dental indicators and the level of conformity in the control group. Whereas in patients with epilepsy and in patients with various mental disorders, correlations are established only by certain indicators. Most likely, this is due to personality changes. Conclusions: As you know, it is very difficult for people of mature age to change their oral care habits from childhood. Hygiene disorders were found in patients with epilepsy. Therefore, only the formation of a specially oriented trusting relationship with the dentist makes it possible to increase the level of hygienic "re-education" and interaction of these patients. At the same time, the improvement of oral hygiene products makes it possible to solve the problem of optimizing hygienic care in hospitals for patients with epilepsy and mental disorders.
