This article comprehensively analyzes the translations of the works of the famous Afghan-American writer Khaled Hosseini into the Uzbek language. The focus of the study is on the writer’s novels “The Kite Runner”, “And the Mountains Echoed”, and “A Thousand Splendid Suns”. The process of translating these works into the Uzbek language, the methodological and linguistic approaches of the translators, as well as the issues of adapting the cultural context are examined on a scientific basis. The role of Hosseini’s novels in illuminating socio-cultural problems and how they convey such topics as human tragedies, spiritual experiences, social inequality, and the fate of women to the minds of the Uzbek reader are assessed. The author’s approach to the themes of human values, conscience, loyalty, and forgiveness is analyzed based on examples, and the expressive capabilities of the national language, word choice and stylistic adaptation, intercultural communication, and the balance between fidelity to the original and creative freedom are separately analyzed in the translation process. Through these translations, the Uzbek reader’s connection with global literature has been strengthened, and the possibilities for expressing the universality of modern human values in the Uzbek language have expanded.
