The article notes that the socio-economic changes taking place in society impose on higher education of the Republic of Uzbekistan the solution of problems related to the formation of professional competencies among graduates of pedagogical universities that ensure the successful implementation of the organization of the educational process in school. Relevant at the social, scientific, theoretical and technological levels is the formation of a future teacher who is conscious, creative in his professional activities, and has such personal qualities as initiative, independence, determination, and activity. The formation of these personality traits of a future teacher of the Russian language should be accompanied by a good knowledge of the language being taught, orientation in the culture and traditions of the Russian people. To increase the efficiency of the educational environment of a pedagogical university in order to prepare students for teaching the Russian language, the authors substantiate a group of pedagogical conditions that contribute to the formation of professional competencies necessary for the implementation of future teaching activities.
