The article considers the essence of game technology, gives general principles of its use, notes the importance of using this technology in the educational process for the comprehensive development of young learners. Special attention is paid to the linguistic game - a set of methods and techniques for organizing the educational process aimed at learning the language, improving language skills, developing logical thinking and communicative abilities of students, taking into account orthoepic, word formation, lexical, morphological, syntactic, stylistic features of oral and written language. Recommendations and norms of using language games in Russian language teaching for more productive results in learning and/or consolidation of new material are given. The article also offers the following classification of games: non-communicative, pre-communicative, communicative game tasks. The characteristics of these game tasks are presented on the example of such games as Find a letter, Fillword, Rebus, Typesetter, Role-playing game. Scenarios of individual game tasks are offered for practice of language, speech, communicative skills of students taking into account their level of Russian language for more productive assimilation of the studied discipline.
