This study deals with how well ChatGPT can analyze English writing tasks of students. In our research, we compared grades given by ChatGPT and teachers for 50 students’ work using the same grading rules. The results showed: ChatGPT found 23% more grammar mistakes and gave 18% higher scores for vocabulary. But teachers were still 15% better at analyzing deeper ideas and giving helpful comments. For schools in Uzbekistan, the study recommends: 1) Using clear grading rules, 2) Teaching educators to work with AI tools, and 3) Creating Uzbek language versions of AI. The numbers proved that when using the same rules, AI and teachers agreed in 78% of cases. Using ChatGPT could help teachers save 40% of their grading time without lowering quality. This research shows how developing countries can use AI for language learning while keeping the best parts of human teaching.
