The integration of digital technologies has changed the methods and strategies used to teaching foreign languages creating new opportunities for learner- centered and competence-based teaching. Especially the use of the synergistic effect of observation and e-feedback in developing language competence among philology students in higher education is considered to be effective way of modern teaching practices. There are more and more emphasis on the importance of formative assessment, learner-centered approaches, and digital technologies in foreign language teaching in many educational settings these days. That’s why observation-based monitoring and e-feedback are viewed as an effective pedagogical tools for improving communicative competence and learner autonomy. It has been noticed that combining observation and feedback practices together, that is, synergistically can contribute from reflective learning, motivation, and self-assessment to continuous improvement in foreign language education.
