Annotatsiya

This article analyzes the Sufi interpretation of the symbol of the rose in the poetry of the contemporary Turkish poet Nurullah Genç. It examines the traditional understanding of the rose in Sufi literature as a symbol of Divine beauty and the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), as well as the artistic representation of these meanings in the poet’s poems “Gül ve Ben”, “Yanılgı”, and “Sızı”. In addition, the symbolism of the rose–nightingale and the philosophy of fanāʾ are comparatively examined in the works of İzzet Molla, Fuzuli, and Nurullah Genç.
