Annotatsiya

This article presents a comparative analysis of the emotional and psychological properties of holiday-related vocabulary in Uzbek and German. The study focuses on the semantic, pragmatic, and psycholinguistic parameters of words shaped under the influence of the cultural environment. The analysis indicates that, while Uzbek festive terms primarily serve to actualize positive emotions and national values, German lexical units are dominated by motifs of family traditions, mental well-being, and social unity. Through contrastive analysis, the study demonstrates that holidays play a distinctive role in shaping individuals’ inner experiences and cultural identities in both cultures. The conclusions of the study have practical value for language learning, intercultural communication, and psycholinguistic research.
