This article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of improving student motivation in foreign language learning at higher education institutions. The study explores the factors influencing students’ intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, as well as the effectiveness of modern pedagogical technologies, digital learning tools, and interactive teaching methods. Particular attention is paid to the role of the communicative approach, gamification, and information and communication technologies in enhancing learners’ engagement and interest in foreign language acquisition. The findings indicate that the implementation of innovative teaching strategies can significantly increase students’ academic participation, foster autonomous learning skills, and improve overall language proficiency.
