This article analyzes the linguistic and stylistic features of colloquialisms in literary texts within the framework of Uzbek linguistics. Drawing on examples from literary works, the study examines the role of colloquial units in individualizing characters’ speech, ensuring the naturalness of dialogues, enhancing emotional and expressive effect, and conveying national and cultural color. The article also provides a scholarly account of the relationship between colloquialisms and the norms of the standard literary language, as well as their functional potential in literary communication. The findings have significant theoretical and practical relevance for the development of Uzbek stylistics, pragmalinguistics, and research on literary discourse.
