This study examines the functional-semantic and syntactic aspects of simple sentences in English and Uzbek from a comparative linguistic perspective. The research aims to identify similarities and differences in sentence structure, communicative functions, semantic roles, and syntactic organization in the two languages. The study contributes to comparative syntax, semantics, translation studies, and foreign language pedagogy by revealing both universal and language-specific characteristics of the organization of simple sentence.
