This article analyzes the phonostylistic expressivity of Uzbek radio discourse through prosodic and stylistic devices. The theoretical framework integrates phonostylistics, prosody, stylistics, and pragmatics. The study argues that, in radio discourse, lexical choice becomes expressive only when it interacts with intonation, stress, tempo, rhythm, pause structure, voice quality, and segmental realization. A pilot micro-corpus was compiled from publicly indexed materials related to Oʻzbekiston 24 Radio, Oʻzbekiston Radio, Oriat Dono, and Avtoradio FM 102.0. The analysis demonstrates that news discourse tends to favor falling terminal contours, moderate tempo, regular rhythm, and official lexis; live talk formats employ interrogative rise, contrastive stress, and controlled colloquial phonological variants; and radio promos and advertisements rely on repetition, alliteration, sloganization, accelerated tempo, and mnemonic sound patterning. The article also offers implications for radio language norms, pronunciation teaching, and the future development of an annotated Uzbek radio corpus.
