The article substantiates that deictic units are not merely means of performing a nominative function but also constitute a pragmatic mechanism that connects the speaker, the addressee, time, space, and social relations. Furthermore, the interrelationship between communicative strategy and deixis is clarified, and the role of deictic means in managing the speech situation and influencing the addressee is examined. The article also analyzes issues related to the pragmatic integration of communicative strategies and deictic units in the process of communication, emphasizing that such factors as the speech situation, the psycho-emotional state of the participants, and the choice of linguistic means are of crucial importance for the implementation of communicative strategies.
