This article examines the literary representation of the Eastern identity crisis in works depicting the diaspora experience within British and American multicultural literature. Drawing on the works of Zadie Smith, Monica Ali, Hanif Kureishi, and Ha Jin, the study identifies three major models of identity formation: intergenerational value conflict, double alienation, and the emergence of hybrid identity. The research employs postcolonial theory and intercultural hermeneutics as its principal methodological frameworks.
