Annotatsiya

This article examines the exercises designed to foster the development of pupils' logical thinking in English language and Native language textbooks for Grades 1–4 of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It provides a comprehensive analysis of the various types of activities incorporated into these textbooks to enhance learners' reasoning, problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Furthermore, the article investigates examples of Uzbek folklore, including fairy tales, proverbs, riddles, legends, and other forms of oral tradition, that have been integrated into the textbooks as educational resources. Special attention is given to the pedagogical role of these folklore materials in promoting logical thinking, enriching linguistic competence, preserving national cultural heritage, and increasing pupils' motivation and engagement in the English language learning process.
