This article presents a linguocultural analysis of the concept of Wa (和) in Japanese culture. It examines the historical roots of the concept of Wa, its manifestation in the Seventeen-Article Constitution, the samurai code of Bushido, the strict social order of the Edo period, and its role in Japan’s industrialization processes. Based on an analysis of existing scholarly perspectives, the scientific novelty of the study lies in interpreting the concept of Wa (和) not merely as a historical or ethical notion, but as a complex cultural model formed at the intersection of language, religion, and social practice. The study argues that this concept emerged through the interaction of the political and philosophical principles of the Shotoku era, Confucian ideas of social hierarchy, the Buddhist concept of inner balance and spiritual tranquility, and Shinto views on harmony with nature.
