This article systematically analyzes the theoretical foundations, didactic principles, and practical implementation mechanisms of the communicative approach Communicative Language Teaching – CLT in teaching the Japanese language. Based on the concept of communicative competence and its multidimensional components, the article discusses a modern model of language teaching. Furthermore, the unique linguistic, structural, and cultural characteristics of the Japanese language are closely examined in relation to the communicative method. The article also comprehensively analyzes the advantages, pragmatic limitations, and formative assessment issues associated with this approach.
