Annotatsiya

This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the mechanisms through which the concept of ”spiritual values” is expressed in Uzbek-language mass media sources: Uzbekistan TV’s Yoshlar (Youth) Channel (television), Hurriyat newspaper (print media), and the @Manaviyat_uz Telegram channel alongside the @yoshlar_uz Instagram account (social media). The study applies a combined methodological framework comprising N. Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), T. van Dijk’s news discourse model, R. Entman’s framing theory, and G. Lakoff and M. Johnson’s conceptual metaphor theory. The findings reveal that the concept is expressed through modal-obligation frames on television, sacralization strategies and metaphorical structures in print media, and hashtag-mediated ambient affiliation mechanisms on digital platforms — all of which systematically reinforce national-spiritual identity.
