Rapid digitalization, the globalization of communication paradigms, and demographic shifts have fundamentally altered the sociolinguistic landscape of the modern Uzbek language. This research investigates the multidimensional impact of urbanization, digital media penetration, and cross-cultural contact on the contemporary lexical, morphological, and syntactic structures of Uzbek. Using a mixed-methods approach comprising corpus-based linguistic analysis of 2.5 million text tokens and a large-scale sociolinguistic survey (N = 2,450), the study maps the trajectory of semantic shifts, code-switching behavior, and morphosyntactic simplification among native speakers aged 15–65. The empirical findings reveal a statistically significant acceleration in the assimilation of Anglo-American terminological borrowings, which currently constitute 14.3% of active youth vocabulary compared with a baseline of 4.1% a decade earlier (p < 0.01). Furthermore, the analysis demonstrates an unprecedented prevalence of hybridized morphological constructions in which foreign nominal stems are combined with native Turkic agglutinative suffixes. Spatial analysis confirms a clear distinction between urban centers and rural peripheries, with urban sociolinguistic networks driving linguistic divergence. This paper argues that the vitality of the Uzbek language in the 21st century depends not on purist isolationism but on its structural elasticity and capacity for spontaneous linguistic adaptation. The resulting quantitative models provide a predictive framework for national language planning, lexicography, and mass media communication standards.
