This article examines the impact of artificial intelligence and technology on the use of English language among Uzbek higher education students. Among Uzbek university students, increased exposure to English through AI-powered educational tools, social media platforms, and online learning resources has contributed to the increasing use of code-switching between Uzbek and English. This paper explores the impact of AI and digital learning environments on English code-switching practices among Uzbek university students. Drawing upon sociolinguistic theories of bilingualism and code-switching, the study examines the factors motivating students to incorporate English lexical items, phrases, and expressions into their everyday speech. The paper argues that AI-driven educational technologies and digital communication platforms have accelerated English language exposure, thereby increasing the frequency and functional diversity of code-switching.
