The article analyzes the linguopragmatic and structural features of the instructional speech genre. The purpose is to determine the communicative aim of instructional texts, the relationship between the addresser and the addressee, and the linguistic means that express directive meaning. The study uses descriptive, discourse-pragmatic and structural-semantic methods. The results show that instructional texts are based on clarity, logical sequence, terminological precision and a high degree of imperativeness. The genre is realized through imperative verbs, modal words, passive constructions, warnings, prohibitions and numbered algorithms. The findings are important for text linguistics, translation practice, technical writing and the development of Uzbek instructional discourse.
