The article examines the linguopragmatic features of Russian and Uzbek speech communication from a comparative-contrastive perspective. Special attention is paid to the mechanisms of speech act realization, speech etiquette, politeness strategies, forms of expressing requests, refusals, and disagreement, as well as the role of ethnocultural factors in the choice of linguistic means. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to identify pragmatic differences between Russian and Uzbek speech cultures in the context of active intercultural interaction. The article demonstrates that Russian speech culture is largely oriented toward explicitness, argumentation, and individual autonomy, whereas the Uzbek communicative tradition is characterized by ritualization, hierarchy, indirectness, and the preservation of social harmony. The research material makes it possible to reveal national and cultural features of speech behavior and define their significance for language teaching, translation, and intercultural communication.
