Omon Mukhtor, who made a significant contribution to Uzbek literature of the independence period through his modernist novels, authored nearly twenty novels. His works are considered unique in Uzbek literature in terms of their artistic features, form, and style. This article explores the characteristics of Omon Mukhtor’s modernist novels, his skill in character creation, the features of modern literature, the new stylistic tendencies of the independence era, imagery, and character depiction.
