This article provides a scientific analysis of the linguocultural features of similes used in the epic “Navoiy va Guli,” which is considered a vivid example of the modern Uzbek folk epic tradition. The similes extracted from the poetic and prose texts of the epic were classified into thematic groups. Particular attention was paid to the role of similes based on elements of nature, the animal world, images of light and brightness, as well as human life and psychological states, in revealing the inner experiences of the main characters — Alisher Navoiy, Husayn Boyqaro, and Guli — ensuring the dynamics of events and enhancing the overall artistic value of the epic.
