This article examines the syntactic and semantic features of simple sentences in modern English and Uzbek languages through a comparative linguistic approach. The study analyzes sentence structure, word order, grammatical functions, and semantic relations in both languages. English, as an analytic language, and Uzbek, as an agglutinative language, demonstrate different syntactic patterns and semantic expressions despite sharing common communicative purposes. The research identifies similarities and differences in sentence formation, predicate usage, subject expression, and the role of morphological markers. Particular attention is paid to declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sentence types in contemporary usage. The findings reveal that while English relies heavily on fixed word order and auxiliary elements, Uzbek depends more on affixation and flexible sentence structure. The study contributes to comparative linguistics and supports language teaching methodologies in bilingual contexts.
