This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the role of anthroponyms in linguistics and their essence within the framework of the anthropocentric paradigm. In particular, it argues that personal names are not merely nominative units but a complex linguistic and cultural phenomenon that reflects the human factor in the linguistic worldview. The study highlights the cognitive, linguocultural, and pragmatic features of anthroponyms, revealing their close connection with human thinking, social experience, and cultural values. It also provides a theoretical explanation of the central role of the human factor in the language system, as well as the semantic, functional, and communicative aspects of the naming process.
