Annotatsiya

This article presents a cognitive-linguistic and linguacultural analysis of the associative field of the "holiday" concept, using examples from the Uzbek, English, and Russian languages. The theoretical framework of the research is based on the concept theories of Y. Stepanov, V. Krasnykh, and J. Karaulov, as well as Fillmore's frame semantics and Lakoff's theory of conceptual metaphor. The analysis was conducted using data from explanatory and associative dictionaries, phraseological sources, and literary corpora of the compared languages. The study identifies the core and peripheral zones of the associative fields in Uzbek, English, and Russian, and highlights their universal and ethnocultural features.
