This article is devoted to the analysis of cultural realia and their conceptual features in the process of translation from Uzbek into English, based on linguistic and linguocultural approaches. Cultural realia are interpreted as language units that reflect the historical experience, social life, traditions, and values of a particular people. Their conceptual nature is examined within the framework of cognitive linguistics, which makes it possible to identify the cultural concepts, semantic structures, and associative fields underlying these units. The study also analyzes the problems of their adequate rendering in translation, in particular the lack of equivalence, the loss of connotative meaning, and pragmatic shifts.
