Annotatsiya

This article is devoted to studying the representation of migrant themes in Uzbek fiction. The aim of the research is to identify the features of the artistic depiction of labor migration, life away from the homeland, and cultural identity in different periods of Uzbek literature (the Soviet and post-Soviet periods). The study employs analytical, historical-literary, and comparative research methods. The findings reveal that in Soviet-period literature, the theme of migration was mainly portrayed in the context of social injustice and poverty, whereas in the post-Soviet period it is examined from the perspective of the psychological and cultural consequences of labor migration. In contemporary Uzbek literature, the migrant theme is expressed through new artistic approaches, diverse genres, and complex characters.
