The article examines the challenges of training translators of socio-political discourse (SPD) with a focus on intercultural context. It addresses difficulties related to cultural specificity, terminological accuracy, and pragmatic adaptation of SPD texts. Based on a theoretical analysis of literature and practical examples, including translations into Russian and Uzbek, the study identifies gaps in current translator training programs. Recommendations for improvement are offered, including teaching methodologies and assignments aimed at developing intercultural competence, essential for effectively translating culturally rich texts.
