Today, a lot of research is being conducted about the use of AI-generated tools, but it hardly ever discusses psychosocial factors or soft-skill values and the personal priorities of language learners who depend on them daily. The aim of this research is to give foreign language teachers important insights into current attitudes and into how they can support creative and critical thinking skills in this process. It also raises key questions about the impact AI will have on how learners acquire knowledge and develop their soft skills, and calls for further critical consideration of the challenges and opportunities for its safe integration into foreign language practice.
