The article discusses the issues of the formation of professional competencies for future translators at a linguistic university. The emphasis is placed on the importance of integrating theoretical knowledge and practical skills for successful training of specialists. The main methods and approaches used in training translators, including specialized courses, internships, and project activities, are highlighted. Key aspects are discussed, such as developing intercultural communication, increasing linguistic accuracy, and adapting to modern labor market requirements.
