The article examines modern directions for improving the institution of obtaining samples for expert examination in the criminal procedure of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the context of the implementation of state policy aimed at reforming legal education, legal science, and forensic expert activity. The study analyzes the impact of Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. UP-232 of November 26, 2025, “On Measures to Further Reform Legal Education and Science in the Republic of Uzbekistan,” on the development of scientific potential, the training of highly qualified legal personnel, and the improvement of expert practice. Particular attention is paid to the role of the Republican Center of Forensic Expertise named after Kh. Suleymanova as a leading scientific and practical institution that ensures the introduction of modern expert methodologies and the development of scientific research in the field of forensic expertise. Based on the analysis of current criminal procedure legislation, forensic expert practice, and modern scientific approaches, the article substantiates the need for further improvement of the legal regulation of obtaining samples for expert examination as an essential element in ensuring the completeness, reliability, and objectivity of forensic expertise.
