This article examines the poetics of the epigraph and the structure of artistic space in Ibroyim Yusupov’s poem “Qadrdon so‘qmoqlar” (“Dear Paths”). It shows how the folk proverb “Every person’s birthplace is their city of Egypt,” used as an epigraph, is connected with the main text and supports the poem’s ideological and compositional unity. The concepts of macrospace (“the city of Egypt”) and microspace (“dear paths”) are compared, and the role of the epigraph in elevating the poem’s message to the level of a universal idea of the Homeland is demonstrated.
